In a column beginning "In homage to vegetables--compliments for carrots, bravo to broccoli, kudos to kohlrabi," Leah Garchik reported on kids at Bessie Carmichael Elementary who have written stories about imaginary superpowers they've gotten from eating vegetables!
The imaginary superpowers included powers to feed and house the homeless.
