It Pays to Double-Check email!

I rejoined the San Francisco Veg Society--an organization worthy of more than $20 (senior) membership, but I thought my plea for a ride to their meeting tonight at 8:00 had gone unacknowledged.

I wanted to describe the "invitation" to Nicks on Grand, so I went back to my email and did a search for San Francisco Veg Society and saw that the president, Christy Griffin, had answered my plea yesterday!  I just hadn't seen it.

So here's the spiel:

All current SFVS members are invited to our annual members meeting this Monday, January 27. Please join us to discuss our upcoming plans for 2020. The meeting will be at 8:00 pm at Nick’s on Grand at 223 Grand Ave. in South San Francisco. Dinner will be provided by SFVS. Please RSVP by replying to this email.  Seating is limited and seats will be reserved on a first come first served basis.

Apologies for the short notice on the annual meeting. We really wanted to make sure that the food this year was something special, and when this opportunity came up, we had to jump at it! Nicks on Grand offers an all vegan menu of Fillipino and American cuisine. Many of their meat alternatives are house made and gluten-free options are available.

I liked it when the meeting was mid-day at Cybelle's, where there's an extensive vegan menu and public transportation to get there.   I don't usually attend meetings that begin at 8:00 PM. because as the saying goes, if seventy is the new fifty, 9 is the new midnight.

But I guess that interest in the new restaurant, Nick's in South San Francisco, was the selling point, and I'm grateful for the ride!
